Today’s lesson video is short and sweet 4m 22s. It is pretty much a recap of day 1. Anik Singal communicates from his desk to make sure you watched yesterday’s video and introduce you to the “tactical” aspects of affiliate marketing. He communicates as your coach and wants you to watch the entire training. So if you haven’t completed Day 1 Entrepreneurial Bootcamp Scaling the mind, go ahead and do it. Complete the workbook too before moving forward. Lesson 5 — Day 4: Niche Selection (~15m)
Selecting your niche. Your first and biggest risk factor—your niche. He goes over the checklist of the 5 Step Criteria to Choose Your Niche. In summary, the 5 point checklist includes:

- Size of Audience
- Popularity in Search
- Long-Term Potential
He shares that he uses magazines.com for potential niches. If there is a magazine on the topic, it’s an initial indicator.
The downloadable handout is an excellent resource to guide you through each step.
Insider Tip #1: Size of Audience — Select a product on Clickbank marketplace with a gravity of 10 or more. The higher the gravity, the better the product is selling.
Insider Tip #2: Popularity in Search — use a keyword planner tool to find out if there are lots of related keywords, and also more than 1,000 searches per month on the phrase.

Lesson 6 — Day 5: Niche Selection (~2m)

Focus. Have tunnel vision for your goals. Break up your big goals into smaller goals. Complete one step each day.

Lesson 7 — Day 6: Monetizing (~24m)
How to profit online. It is time to make money. A business is driven by cashflow.
- Your business should always have a purpose (do good and serve others; if you don’t, you will never make money)
- Cashflow ; you have to be able to monetize what you’re doing
This lesson is packed with a lot in a short 24 minutes. Make sure you take notes and implement what’s explained. It will show you how to make money with your niche. It will also allow you to participate in valuable conversations with peers and in forums on the topic.
Anik will go over the 4 fastest ways to build passive income online in this lesson. In summary, they are:
- Percent of Sales (PoS) Offers — Anik recommends Clickbank.com as a preferred affiliate network to use

Advanced Method: Sell your own products.
In this lesson, Anik Singal shows you how to turn a profit with an online business.
He explains that most of your money in the beginning will come from Percentage of Sales (PoS). You will need enough experience driving traffic before being ready for CPA. Regarding selling clicks, you will need a big enough list before you can offer value.

Lesson 8 — Day 7: The “Chosen” One (~24m)
The advantages of e-mail marketing. There are 4.6 billion e-mails out there. He explains that according to statistics, it is said that for every $1 invested in e-mail, $44 is the profit for the year.
Of all the internet businesses out there, e-mail is the “core” of all business models. It is ideal to build the e-mail first. E-mail marketing is the “chosen” one business model. In this lesson, Anik Singal will explain to you how he has built his 5 multi-million dollar businesses based on this system.

Lesson 9 — Day 8: Creating Your Opt-In Page (~33m)
Create your one page website.
Today, Anik Singal and Dave Lovelace are going to show you how to create an opt-in page.
He emphasizes the importance of setting up the opt-in page properly as the foundation for your internet business.
Dave starts off walking you through how to setup your free Sendlane 14-day trial account.
He also shows you how to come up with a unique and catchy domain.
Insider Tip #1: When you set up a domain, use a word with the same first letter as the keyword you are using. For example, if you are creating a site about “wellness” , create something like “wealthywellness” dot com.

The Opt-In Page walkthough is extremely easy to understand. You will be able to see in the training that Sendlane offers a multitude of template options for various niches. Below is a sneak peak at the draft opt-in page Dave Lovelace creates during today’s lesson.
Lesson in summary, Dave will show you how to navigate the Sendlane dashboard and Opt-In page setup, step by step. Of course, he also shows you how to link the opt-in page to the e-mail list you created in the first portion of the training. We also noticed that as an advanced user with your own server, you can also download the HTML, and host it on your own site with your own domain.
We like that this lesson is actually a high quality walkthrough training. Dave shows you where to go, what to click, and is explanatory of the principles behind what you are doing in real-time as he goes. It feels like he is coaching you and teaching you how to do the work the right way. The best practices and professional walkthrough in this lesson is definitely worth your time.

Learn about the necessary tools needed to run your business.

Today Director of Education Dave Lovelace walks you through his recommendations for navigating the overload of technologies out there. He provides guidance for technologies you must have now, optional technologies, and those that you will need down the road as you scale.

Lesson 13 — Day 12: Copywriting (21m)
The importance of copywriting.
This is our favorite lesson yet. As writers, we appreciate the education we got out of today. This lesson helps point you in the right direction for developing your business’s copywriting skillset.
Anik Singal shares that his journey took him 5 years to learn effective copywriting (to get good at it), and 12 to 13 years to master it.
Copywriting = using the written word to sell.
He tells us that being a good copywriter is the difference between making some money and making millions.

Simple 5 Step Copywriting Formula Revealed:
He breaks down what percentage from start to sale each of the 5 steps should make up in your sales copywriting. The diagram in this lesson was extremely insightful.
5 Steps to Good Copywriting:
- Introduction
- Story
- Content
- Transition
- Pitch (secret: this is not where you get the sale; learn how to confirm the sale)
Here distinguishes between where you are speaking to the subconscious mind of the reader and the conscious mind of the reader. Within each step, it is important to understand the purpose behind each step. Each step has a purpose, which Anik will guide you through in detail.
The principles behind each step are original and unlike any other generic “copywriting” course available. Most importantly, his copywriting training is tailored to what internet marketers need to learn.

Lesson 15 — Day 14: Writing Emails (~22m)
How to write e-mails that convert.
In today’s lesson, Anik Singal coaches you on the 3 kinds of e-mails you can write in e-mail marketing. You don’t have to be a great writer. However, you do need to learn his simple e-mail formula.
There are only three functions or styles of an e-mail. In summary, they are:

- Tell a Story
- Pitch an Offer

Lesson 16 — Day 15: Free Traffic (~40m)
Free traffic explained.
Anik Singal introduces the difference between paid and investment traffic. He shares that free traffic done correctly will take 90 days or more, working consistently every single day. The risk or tradeoff is your time.
He further explains that investment traffic is instant and has an expected return. The risk or tradeoff is money.
Both forms of traffic will require you to learn how they work and the right way to approach each.
Dave starts off explaining that when you are first getting started and you don’t have a budget yet for investment traffic, implementing the right free traffic strategies can help.
He explains right off the bat how free traffic is driven and that you are trading your time to generate your traffic. This is the truth. It will take longer to get results. Therefore, he spends a good amount of time in this lesson going over the three different types of content and how to create high quality content.
Three types of content are:
- Written (articles, PDFs, PowerPoints)
- Audio
- Video
He also explains how to develop in-demand and high quality content.
In this lesson, Dave tells you over 5 insider resources you can use that will actually help you find out what is trending. One example is BuzzSumo.com where you can instantly find out hot and trending topics within 24 hours, week, month or a year.
He will tell you how to write an article and the 4 parts that make up a good article people will read.
You will also find out how to generate traffic to your article via blogs, forums, social media, and YouTube.
Dave provides you with tips on best practices for commenting on blogs to get you results. The overview of how to systematically approach setting yourself up for traffic through each of these areas is extremely valuable. If you are just starting out and looking to get the whole picture for what you will need to do to get free traffic, this is the lesson for you to focus on. Perhaps you have some experience, but you’ve been struggling to figure out how to post on blogs, forums, and make use of social media the right way. Definitely take notes and spend some time practicing with the insider resources you will learn in this lesson.
Assignment: Use the 8-page downloadable workbook as your guide and complete the three short exercises to generate your first articles. The workbook doubles as a “cheatsheet” or inventory listing all of the Free Traffic website resources referenced in the lesson.
Lesson 17 — Day 16: Investment Traffic (~22m)
Investment traffic advantages.
Anik Singal recaps the pros and cons of free traffic vs investment traffic. He tells you that the key to investment traffic is that you have to learn how to do it. He also advises that you can’t just run into the world of investment traffic without training because you will burn money.
For those of you who have been trying or wondering how much the minimum amount you will need in order to be effective will be, he tells you straight up. $500. If you cannot afford to invest that much without it burning a hole in your pocket, don’t do investment traffic yet.
This is a great point to address right off the bat. We have often seen that the question of “how much should I spend on ads?” ends up being an “elephant in the room” or a question that gets dodged by internet marketers focused on pushing their product sales.
He shares an anecdote and some numbers to give you some perspective. Currently, his company profitably spends about $15,000-$18,000 on Facebook Ads each day. However, when he first started, he burned a lot of money with zero profit.
Anik admits that burning money is part of the process and if you are uncomfortable with that area, don’t do it yet, keep working on free traffic. He encourages you to get to a point where you have $500 in your bank account and if you lost it, you wouldn’t care. He also encourages you to spend that amount on the right training first if you haven’t already gotten the proper foundation.
Note that this lesson will not prepare you to begin investment traffic. This lesson will help you decide on what kind of investment traffic you want.
Free traffic takes time (slow).
Paid traffic equals speed (fast).
Dave Lovelace explains that you are investing in yourself to speed up the process of building your business. In this lesson, you will learn about several strategies that you can use to get extremely targeted traffic to your webpage to start building your email marketing business.

Be someone who gets stuck and goes out to get help to accomplish your goals.
If you don’t outsource right, you could lose money. So this is important to master.

Lesson 20 — Day 19: Exponential Returns (~5m)
Business growth is not linear.
Anik Singal’s Journey:
- 18 months to make first dollar on the internet
- Working 10 hours per day on business
- Debt on his dad’s credit card, not his own
- Falling behind in schoolwork
- Graduating from college and foregoing potential 6-figure job opportunities
Here he gives you an example of first learning how to drive a car. At first, there are a lot of things to remember getting into the driver’s seat for the first time. Now, you simply start the car and go. You don’t think about all the steps you are automatically doing.
Your online business is going to be tough in the beginning. However, when you learn it and master it, it becomes easy. It becomes so easy, that you don’t even understand why it was so hard in the beginning.
At first, you might have a large amount of effort, and make a little bit of money. That sucks.
Yes. It is depleting and demotivating. However, you have to push through that period.
Soon, after you reach the turning point, it will flip and you will make a lot of money with a small amount of effort. It happens to every successful entrepreneur and every successful online marketer.
